Hello! I’m Amy.
I am an experienced product designer with a knack for solving complex problems. I am currently a Lead Experience Designer at Thoughtworks where I have led design and research on products including an online form helping survivors of domestic abuse find the legal advice they need, a search tool using data and algorithms to help families place loved ones in assisted care facilities and a grocery retail data insight and planning tool. Before my current position, I was a service designer who used insights gathered through research to improve the service offerings of a beloved geek subscription service and worked as a designer at a national coffee company designing retail environments, coffee packaging and employee apparel.
I believe that design is the glue that brings everything around us together. I am passionate about creative processes, connecting with people, getting to know them, and improving their experiences. I love making things look good, but mainly aim to make them useful. I care deeply about designing in an ethical, inclusive, and empathetic way. I am a natural collaborator and work best on multidisciplinary teams with different perspectives, learning from different people.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time in the mountains hiking with my Golden Retriever, sketching, and playing my ukulele.
